Jack 鄭博士目前是 IP Academy 的首席助理主任兼大中華區負責人以及教師。 鄭博士畢業於新加坡國立大學 (NUS) 工程與技術管理系獲得博士，參與制定新加坡知識產權戰略2030（SIPS 2030）； 專注於創新公司利用知識產權 (IP) 和無形資產 (IA) 來創造競爭優勢。鄭博士擅長知識產權（專利）分析、技術競爭情報分析、專利佈局、技術路線規劃等，同時兼任專利檢索和技術情報分析培訓專家。鄭博士撰寫並發表了 30 多篇關於知識產權管理和專利情報分析相關評論的文章，並就專利業務的商業模式和戰略發表了多篇文章和講座。
Dr. Jack Cheng is currently the Principal Assistant Director and Head of China Desk and member of the faculty at IP Academy. Jack participated in the formulation of Singapore Intellectual Property Strategy 2030 (SIPS 2030); focusing on the use of intellectual property (IP) and intangible assets (IA) by innovative companies to create a competitive advantage.
Dr. Cheng specialised in intellectual property (patent) analysis, technical competitive intelligence analysis, patent layout, technical route planning, etc., and he also serves as a patent search and technical intelligence analysis training expert. Dr Cheng has written and published more than 30 articles on intellectual property management and patent intelligence analysis related reviews as well as speaking and publishing several articles and lectures on the business model and strategy of the patent business.
Dr. Cheng also undertakes and assists in presiding and executing a number of large-scale research projects such as information industry patent trends and patent litigation analysis, and he has also provided strategic advice for many multinational companies in the field of energy conservation, finance, semiconductor, etc.
Dr. Cheng received his PhD from the Division of Engineering and Technology Management, National University of Singapore (NUS). Prior to joining IP Academy, Jack was the co- principal investigator for several projects on patent trends and litigation in the information and optical-electronic industries during his term as a Secretary General at Taiwan Technology Law Institute. In addition, he also conducted several consulting projects related to IP management, patent analysis and deployment for companies in various industries, including the semiconductor and financial leasing industries.
